The Jets AHL level defense has been awful all year. Now with their offense drying up with Ehlers and Lowry out and Helleybuck looking average, it's a freefall.

Playing in the worst division in hockey has its advantages though. They will cruise into the playoffs.

Still a chance the Jets finish 4th and play Toronto giving the Oilers the Habs. Either way Oil are in good shape for round one. Except for Smith’s expected collapse.

Losing Ehlers and having terrible defence has caught up to them.

They will probably be better next season with Ehlers back and Heinola in the top 6.

The Jets would have to worry about two players, that's it. The Oilers are pretty terrible. The way the Jets are playing it would be a pretty close series.
