Based on what I've seen, no. All i know is that I have never lived in a home with a fridge or dishwasher quiet enough that I'd want it 6 inches from my TV. Not to mention I think it just looks ugly IMO.
I guess it makes for easy couch to fridge access for lazy people, so it isn't all bad.

You're doing it wrong. The solution is always more and larger TV's.

We've been Click and Collecting at the Superstore for the whole pandemic. Zip into the heated parkade, pop the hatch, fill the car with complete mystery lottery produce and hope for the best.
BLM is awesome, but you must be rich.
Luke's is surprisingly useful and well priced, just annoying if strollers are in the equation, which is a temporary condition.
In the before times, CO-OP was our go-to. It is by far the worst CO-OP in the city, but they will be tearing it down soon and replacing it.

Agreed, one thing to keep in mind is if the inside of your kitchen is visible from front door, you have to keep it way cleaner in case someone drops by. (I mean, if people start doing that again post-covid).

We've had poor results with Click and Collect, as over half the time it's resulted in us having to go back to the store anyway because they fail to include key items. Easier to just mask up and go inside.

Anyone live in the Rouleau buildings in Mission? That location intrigues me and I like the unit layout. But the google reviews are mixed at best, but that seems normal.
Anyone with recent first hand experience?

They must love Sunnysiders more, we've had great success with Click and Collect at East Village.
My only complaint about that location is the parking garage sensor does not register bikes. You have to wait for a car.

We had a couple issues when they first opened up, but it's been fairly flawless for us since.
Can you see the induction loop for the parkade entrance? I find usually riding right on the edge at decent speed will do it on those. Maybe it's got something new and fancy.

Oh yeah, I tried all that the first time I rode there for a pickup. No luck.
Also their folks that call you on the phone the day of your order are insanely nice.

No, there isn't. Everyone gets a little confused. Please continue to shop at the Superstore closest to your chosen home location.
Rest assured, if a Superstore does open in the downtown area, we latte sippers will be sure to let you know.

I was blown away when I toured it, and it was an easy decision to make. I even remarked that the building was what I would expect in an actual city, not Calgary. The design features are phenomenal, and the whole building is well thought out. Pretty great views on the west side of the building as well.
Hopefully they will find a tenant for the purpose built restaurant space in the lobby. It would seem like a no-brainer post Covid. Lots of high density buildings in the area. I think a casual pub sort of concept could really take off there.

I lived in the west side of the beltline (Connaught) from about 2012-13, and then just shy of 4 years in the heart of the beltline nearer central memorial park. I preferred the latter location, it was a little closer to the core where I would walk to and from work every day, where as the western beltline part I'd generally have to jump on the C-train.
I was also a very quick step away from the best parts of 17th Ave or very quickly to Stephen Ave, it was perfect. Part of my years in downtown Calgary I was single, and part of it in a relationship, but in either case it was great to be close to work and the vast majority of my social activities. Some of the best times of my life were living in that area. By the time I left you could definitely feel the economic downturn having its impact on the vibrancy of the area, but I'm sure it'll come back at some point.

I have a 1 bedroom in Eau Claire available for rent in the waterfront towers. Quiet location facing 2nd street. Bow River pathways 1 block away, plus 15 connection across street that connects through downtown and to train stations. Doing viewings this weekend if anyone is interested.

This has me wondering what the average rent is downtown/beltline.
I had a 1 bedroom just behind the Wicked Wedge, the cost was $300 all in/month. This was mid/late 90's.
What do 1 bedroom places go for now?

We also do the EV Superstore click and collect, and it's no good. Don't go there. They never have any of what we order and the parkade is always full. It also takes forever. Horrible service. Please don't go.

I worked right by Central Memorial Park from 2012-2016 and loved being that area day to day. It’s really does feel like the 5km radius includes everything you’d really need or want to do 99% of the time.

Full amenities, and unlike a lot of stuff in Calgary. Cool design and great location...

$1950 for a two bedroom in a new cool building. Haha kill me.
