I'd expect him to be dangerous more than good, in the sense that he's probably not going to be winning a ton of puck battles or controlling the play, but he's got that goal scorer's knack like few other players do and like almost no one on the Habs does other than Toffoli.

Might be the 'best prospect not in the NHL' in terms of forwards. Montreal fans seem to think he is. I probably wouldn't rank him that high, but he does look like a very good prospect and a game-changer. I am interested to see how he does. It'd be nice if Gaudreau looks across the ice and thinks "Hobey Baker eh? small skilled and super hyped eh? Been there, done that, I'll remind them about me". But this team and core has never stepped up like that.

When it gets too positive on this board, that's when the team goes out and disappoints us! Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

Caufield is a really interesting player. He's a sniper. Seriously great hands and release. Give him time and space and he will kill you. Can make some plays, but is more a sniper with a killer wrist shot. He's a small player but not a water bug like Gaudreau, so you can hit him and he will avoid the play. Flames need to take the game to him and hit him every opportunity they get. Back in on him, giving him time and space, and he will do damage.

Of all people, friend, it’s funny that you want to bring it up. This is a quote, not just in a general post, but directly in response to you, dino7c

I don’t hate the goals against tonight, either, btw. Toffoli put it over the pad inside the post. Iggy scored a ton of goals that way, abs they were well placed shots. Goal scorers’ goals. The commentators were swooning later over a shot that hit Allen’s pad. 10 inches off the ice.

I don’t think he saw the second. A bit more to it but will leave it there
