Team seems to be playing a lot better under Sutter.
The kind of team that if they get solid goaltending can be a thorn in the side of anyone. Not an elite contender, but not an easy out either.
Too bad they went 2-5-1 against Ottawa, or didn't change coaches a month sooner.

I am 100% guilty as charged as they were what 10 points back at one point and looked like they didn’t give a F?
However I’ve also posted recently, like right around when Sutter was hired that if this group can figure out how to just believe in themselves I do honestly think they could go deep. Sutter was a great hire for that reason as he’s the master psychologist in hockey.
But what I’m getting at is this is just some message board with emotional fans like me. Not the media. My interpretation of Sutters quote was that the media was saying they were out but I don’t recall that.
I would be thrilled if they won Monday night. But- I do have experience being a Flames fan so let’s just take one game at a time.

Anyone else come away from these two games thinking how cheap Montreal is?!? It's like they've all turned into Corey Perry, up and down the lineup...
They get away with so many cheap shots, extra holds, interference, slashes...two of which resulted in Flames' retaliatory penalties tonight (Mangiapane, Backlund). Only that holding the stick--which was comically overt--was called.
Reeks of desperation and no-good-ness. It's one thing to do this stuff as you transition to "playoff hockey"; it's another to do it just to stay in games. Pathetic.
