True but these aren't end of the year playing out the string games, not yet anyway. There Montreal games are pretty high pressure do or die and the have really played well in all of them even the loss.

And only 2 Sens games next year!

The hilarious thing about the outrageous prospect of actually squeaking in is that I wouldn't even hate our chances vs. the Maple Leafs with this year's team.

In fact I'd like ours better than the Jets or Oilers...

We need the Flames to get in for more Sutter pressers

I am cheering for that

Flames came out playing at an incredible pace tonight (I know latest buzz word)

night and day compared to the start of the year, Sutter practice time seems to be paying off

If Sutter can get consistent effort next year it would sure be fun to watch.

No question. They do have their stinkers vs clubs like Ottawa, but overall there are less lapses in their play and certainly MUCH better starts so far under DS.

Sutter for this entire season would've bought us another 7-10 points currently I think.

-Mangiapane and Dube were so good today. Mang is obviously more consistent, but when those two are that noticeable, the Flames forward group is so much better and pretty fun to watch. Credit to both guys, especially Dube. You just have to hope that Darryl is pushing him to become that type of player game in and game out. This game is a lesson for him, because he was flying and the coaches rewarded him with icetime... so let's hope we see it again and again.

-Markstrom was alright, but if they are going to come even close in this race, he's gotta be the best goalie on the ice

-Monahan with a big 3 point game and especially a big 2 point third period and GWG when they truly needed it. He deserves the criticism but I really do like him as a person and hope that things turn around for him. Notably, I thought his skating looked unusually good tonight.

-Valimaki was better tonight, I thought. Good for him after an atrocious performance last game.

-Not crazy about Gaudreau's game. Great assist and that's why you need guys like him, but watching Mangiapane, Monahan, and Lindholm battling their hearts out leaves a little to be desired from Johnny.

-Tkachuk is in some kind of rut. If you knew nothing about this team going in, would you even guess he led them in scoring last season? Hopefully he breaks out tomorrow

-Finally... I liked the 11F format. There are some interesting looks put together.

He has that look of why are you asking such dumb questions. Half the time he has this disinterested look on his face as his eyes are not looking at the camera.

One of my favourite memories from the 04 run was watching the Sutter press conferences after each game. What a beauty.

The press conferences are literally the best part about the team right now. Hoping for the win tomorrow but what I like about the press conferences is he exposes the mundane stupid questions for what they are.

Hey reporters, ask better questions.

I wonder if the Montreal writers will be complaining about how boring the Flames are. XGF% was 76.06 to 23.94. I guess I would bored if my team put up a sub 25% xgf like that.
