If he knocked it out with a stick it would have counted...maybe

To me I don’t think that’s a goal. But if the situation was reversed and it was MTL in our position, 100% goal.

Hopefully gets Backlund to figure out how to put it in the net even though it didn’t count

I disagree. The goaltender didn't have control of the puck.

Goalies are different...for one thing they're allowed to close their hand on the puck.

No clear rule on it, but IMO it's the right call.

Not sure why the faceoff came out the zone though.

You still can’t bump him in the crease.

If you have any understanding of the game of hockey and you watch the guy play I dont see how he can have hate thrown his way. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.
To be fair, he has had some horrible stretches of hockey the last couple years where he is just lost at every aspect of the game. Then again if he was an upper tier guy he would be getting 80 pts a tear and 8 million per to go with it.

He is a good NHL C, but nothing extraordinary. Could be better, could be worse.

That's what I thought. It was resting on his arm. Backs just nudged it off.

Flames are absolutely dominating this game...tied

Bad goal and no finish

Bounce back in goal and a couple snipers would make a world of difference

There have been plenty of goals that counted with more contact than what happened there.

But if the pucks on the ice and under his pad and someone knocks it in before the whistle...it would for sure count
