Die.
Now the only question remaining is do they get buried or cremated in the next games!

I've been thinking about this lately, with all the talk about sucking and getting high picks. Man the drafting/development must've been terrible back then. I remember Taratuhkin and Trubachev seemed like dreams after the WJC. around 02-03.

You have Mangiapane and Fox for this "regime" as middle round picks who made it.
Prior regime you had Gaudreau and Kulak.
Regime before that you had Ferland, Brodie, Prust and Bouma.
Don't know if I necessarily see an uptick yet, but also don't know how to attribute picks to particular scouting staffs.
There are some interesting middle picks in the pipeline now but no one that I'm ready to call an upper roster player yet.

Gonna be funny watching the flames and nucks playing meaningful games in may, once playoffs have started.
For draft position...

This game is the nail for the coffin.
If course, in our life support state, we will fend it off to keep delusion alive.

Sutter: “Kris. Chucko.”
McGuirre: “whoah, that’s off the board”
Still gives me nightmares

Numerous draft and scouting sites have referred to the Flames drafting of late as sneaky good. It's been a pretty consistent view before and after the 2020 draft.
They generally point to how the system is in better shape than you'd think given the lack of high picks (a solid anti-Treliving complaint).
That brings in the 2020 draft as well, as most felt they did a heck of a job with moving down to add picks, and then drafting well in the middle to end of the draft.
That will take time to prove out of course.

When Sutter took over the team first go around, the culture change was about finding players who wanted to be and were proud to be Calgary Flames.
Out with the Chris Drury's, in with the Rhett Warrener's. Same thing has to happen again, IMO. Get some players who will bring their work boots everyday, ALA Chris Tanev.

I am still hoping for a happy ending to the season. However, this is really the do or die game for me. Lose this one, and then it goes from "highly improbable they make it" to "need an absolute miracle".
This is the last game for me to have any hope left. Hope they win this game. Lose this game, then I hope they lose every game.
Also, I disagree 100% with any notion of bringing up any kids, or Kylington, or anyone else.
This is the team. They either get into the playoffs as this team, or they help Calgary get a high draft pick. I don't want any youthful exuberance taking hold of this club and they start to enjoy their role as spoiler. Lose this one, the season is over, but make these players play out the rest of the season. They are perfectly capable of losing more.

Our drafting lately has been top notch for the most part, we just lack the draft picks. Drafting is one thing I complete trust in this group with more than ever.

I don't want to assume, but I heard Gaudreau is a possible healthy scratch tonight, could he be the one that tested Positive for COVID?

Pretty sure I saw a tweet stating Leivo was added to the COVID protocol list, so I assume its Josh.
