Do or Die: MTL vs CGY, 7 pm, SNW
I’ve been annoying people by calling these games against Montreal a mini playoff series but it remains as true as ever.
If the flames can go 3-0 then they’ll be two points back with Montreal having a game in hand, so it’ll still be tough to make it, but at least it stays possible. This will also open the door for Vancouver which would at least make the last 4 game set of the year a little interesting.
If they lose 1 game, they’ll be 6 points back with 8 to play, which is game over to me. Then it’s time to play the kids and see if they can play spoiler for Vancouver at least.
On one hand, I’d almost be happy for a loss, just so this false hope can finally be put to rest, but it’s always fun to hope until you can’t anymore. Go Flames!

I gave them as much of the benefit of the doubt as I could against Ottawa. Predicated a win, figured if they had it in them that would be the game and Sutter would have them ready. That part may have been true but they came out flat. Again,
Saying all the same "right" things after the game. Stuff they've been saying since the Colorado series. Before that even.
Show's over. Bring on the off season.

Well die seems pretty obvious at this point. Not sure why anyone is holding onto any hope whatsoever. You'll feel better if you just let go.

I have let go and am on the Panthers bandwagon, however I will be rooting my ass off for the Flames to win tonight with zero expectations. Not giving up until math says "impossible you idiot".
