Mark isn't the sharpest pencil in the box. He was showing support for the verdict but kind of did Mark Davis things dumb things in the process. He took full responsibility and didn't hide behind the organization. This is just another example of why we need a twitter-less world. Too many dumb, uninformed people combined with too many people like rube and it's just not good for anyone.

I mean I mostly found it kind of funny in a macabre way. Obviously though if Davis is responsible for the tweet then it wouldn't matter if all the social media people objected, no one was crossing the owner. Having good intentions doesn't guarantee avoiding a bad outcome. It just wasn't well thought out.

No it wasn't well thought out but as I said before Mark isn't very sharp. We make fun of him all the time on Raider forums. Let's not forget that the Raiders are the first NFL organization to hire a Hispanic Head coach, first NFL organization to hire an African American head coach, first NFL organization to hire a female CEO. They paved the way for diversity in the NFL so when I see an individual call out the Raiders for lack of class I just blow them off as uninformed idiots.

And hey credit to Davis for taking the heat, would have been a lot easier to just delete the tweet and blame it on a rogue social media rep. Even after getting ratio'd he's kept it up.

The NFL and NFL Players Association have approved a position-specific helmet design for the first time since they began regulating equipment for players, representatives for both groups confirmed Tuesday.
The helmet, known as the VICIS ZERO2-R TRENCH, was built for offensive and defensive linemen and is ranked No. 2 on the league's 2021 safety rankings. The helmets are equipped with bumpers on their front and upper sides, where NFL engineering studies showed are a common point of contact for linemen who absorb concussion-causing contact, according to Dr. Ann Good, a senior engineer at BioCore and a consultant to the NFL.

I hope to see a lot of improvements in head gear going forward as reducing head injuries needs to be high priority for this sport to continue to thrive.

For sure.
They have made tremendous strides in just the last decade or so but there is still room for much improvement.
Hopefully this tech doesnt take long to filter down to pop warner and high school play.

"Bent out of shape" is sure one way to describe it. Somehow, I think Mark Davis' "career" will survive.

Yeah, I'm actually wondering if he's just covering for that exact reason: just trying to protect his social media team from the storm and deflect it all to himself. Who knows though

Why would an owner use himself as a meat shield for his media team for making a mistake? Doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm pretty sure it was Mark's tweet and it's just one of those things where he had good intentions and just botched the execution.

Whether you agree or not you are part of the problem rube. He made a tweet with good intentions and made a mistake and you want him held accountable? Floyd's brother is okay with it and extended his gratitude to the organization but I guess that's not enough for white SJW's that aren't happy until everyone is as outraged and unhappy as they are.

Some of you probably have heard of Chuba Hubbard (from Edmonton) but there's another kid, Amen Ogbongbemiga, you may not have heard of.
I know its paywalled, but for those that have an Athletic subscription, good article on a kid from Calgary playing at Oklahoma State.
https://theathletic.com/2526455/2021...ey-to-the-nfl/
could be a late round pick, which would be super cool for him

The fact that conservatives view every single bit of criticism as "outrage" is a bigger part of the problem, IMO.
Me: "That tweet was dumb."
EE/dino: "OMG! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU SJWs GET SO OUTRAGED ALL THE TIME! GOD DAMN CANCEL CULTURE!"
