Yeah, I did just check the rules for a refresher and forgot we get a point for every correct top ten pick, and 4 points for correct slotted. So that will actually be a 14 point race for me, not too bad.
Just tragic that's all.

I believe with 3 slotted wins and 5 top 10 correct that gives me 17pts, correct ?

21 I think. As a rookie I’ll take it.

Who's the new pit lane announcer? I love that guy, he ads great colour and humour to the broadcast.

Wow...solid week for everyone!! I was really hoping Mad Max could make it stick at the end. Bit surprised he only had the one shot, but still shows how hard it is too pass in F1.
Congrats to FurnaceFace!! 30pts, 5 right slotted and 9/10. I think thats already beat our high score from last year. Lol.
Jayswin had the perfect 10/10, but only 1 right slot.
These are TENTATIVE...havent had a chance to QC the new sheet and my laptop is dying at work.

Still gutted that Max couldn't pull it out at the end, but that was an amazing race. Excitement from start to finish

Well after that first week I decided to ditch Agulati's plan of picking up last years prize with this year's prize, and picked mine up. Thanks so much for the Jacques Villeneuve helmet!
Heading back tomorrow for Agulati's prize.

This 3 week break sucks...so in the spirit of keeping some interest, are there any ideas around prizes?? Went with Jacques Villeneue signed Diecast + Hat last year. Open to any suggestions and websites to grab some gear from this year.
And as a lol... https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/h...einer/6077166/

On Tuesday CBC News reported that F1 was appealing to “various levels of government” — from the city of Montreal to the Quebec province to federal officials — for a $6 million payout as compensation for the lack of fans. Not only that, F1 is asking Canada to disregard the national 14-day quarantine protocol for the visiting teams because the Azerbaijan Grand Prix is penciled in the weekend immediately before the Montreal race.

Interesting, I hadn't considered the 14 day quarantine. Maybe no Canadian GP this year?

I would imagine they will get granted a shorter quarantine period like the NHL.
I’m surprised they didn’t move it to the fall, like they did with Australia, when there is more chance restrictions are lifted. It’s too bad the other North American races are October as that would be a natural fit. One would think the teams and F1 would try and align the events a bit more regionally as I would think there is some cost savings there.
They need to move the race to Alberta, I’m sure Kenney would let them have fans as he’s going to have most of us vaccinated for The Summer of Jason™️.
