Nope, I've got nothing against Sutter. It's always been up to the players to figure it out. It seems as though they have.
So when the team was struggling, it was because Sutter was doing a worse job than Ward. But now they they're winning some games, it's because the players have figured things out and doesn't have anything to do with Sutter. Got it.
True but I personally feel they're at least as likely to have the wheels fall off as any team in the league. Pot calling the kettle black I know, but they just don't look like a strong team.
It's funny--a guy at work said this the other day. I wasn't convinced.
...after having watched the Habs' overall play tonight, I <could> be convinced...
Bennett had 8 points in 15 games under Sutter, 6 points in his final 6 games as a Flame, and 2 assists in the first game of this three game winning streak.
!@#$ing on players after they leave town is behaviour befitting Edmonton Oilers fans, not us.

If they play hard come up short, these guys are going to be pissed they threw a bunch of games away.
They seem confident holding 1 goal leads and they make the other team work harder in their own end. I think the idea is that when teams are trying to come from behind, if you make them work in their own end they are going to cheat and make mistakes; The Habs buckled in the 3rd.

Yup.....it may be too little too late, and probably is, but I'm still going to hope and cheer for it to happen...unlike many "fans" on this very board.

They have 4 against Toronto. The Flames have 4 against VanCovid.
Sure would be sweet if we can close the gap. I like our chances in a playoff series against Toronto, but gosh would we need to rip it to cut past the Habs

I don't remember too many people saying that. Unless Cali did, I don't recall.
For me it's always been the players. Tonight was a solid game, but they could also look like garbage next game. No idea what you're going to get with these players.
