Bennett is one of those players I’ll always cheer for. One of my favourite Flames over the last few years, and when he was on, he was the most fun to watch. It may not have been all the time, and it may not have been enough to cement him as a top guy, but I don’t really care. I’ll miss him on the Flames. One of the few trades where I hope it works out incredibly well for both teams. Go Sam!

Seeing Benny get traded still bums me out. It’s pretty funny that at my age I can still get emotionally attached to players, but damn I loved Bennett on this team. I met his Mom and Dad last season, had some drinks/dinner with them, and they even brought us to the team meet and greet after the game - Bennett was absolutely awesome to talk to. He’s definitely one my favourite Flames in recent years and I hope he absolutely crushes it in Florida. I’m cheering for the Panthers for the rest of the season!
