Most of the losses under Sutter were not all that different

a few timely saves and finishing your chances go a LONG way...fine line

The chance after Tkachuk had that terrible drop pass in the first - the puck just hung on Markstrom’s toe. I wonder what happens if they scored there.

I know there’s lots of Jays fans in here so it needs to be said. The Flames and Jays have outscored their opponents 20-1 tonight. And that’s pretty neat.

I think both Johnny and Monny are gonna be more productive now that they’re on separate lines

Monahan carried a lot more, set up more, and didn’t have to be the puck digger. It works.

Man it feels good to dunk on the Oilers and knock Smitty off his damn high horse.

ATL will have to wait until tomorrow though.

And he had a great game tonight. Was skating hard and always banging driving the net trying to bring the energy. He was really good.

I think the line changes were a big factor! Might have been too spread out before. Now we have skill on the top line and a bit of speed on wings on the second line.

Some great slow-mo footage of Bennett's big hit and most of the goals.

Is there a "fancy advanced stat" that gives credit to guys for creating situations that directly lead to goals for, even if they don't end up getting credit for an assist?

If there is, I've gotta think that Lucic is one of the leaders in this area...

The third goal (Lindholm) tonight owed a lot to him, and he was even a big influence on Gio's goal...

I've just been totally impressed with his season. He's becoming one of my favourite Flames this season.

Yeah there was a few times I felt were guaranteed goals against with the luck following this team lately that stayed out.
