There was never a Vezina conversation from anyone who isn't an Oilers fan.

But I bet the death-stare he gave his defenseman on that play was epic.

Sorry that’s what I meant. The Vezina conversation from up North. Heard one genius oiler fan call him Mike ‘Vezina’ Smith.

Nothing to fear. Smith is using up all his good performances in the regular season. He will flop (literally and figuratively) in the playoffs.

the average Edmonton fan doesn't care as the bar is set so low for success.
As an Edmonton fan I look at it this way -
It's the equivalent of having had sex only once in the last 15 years.
when the time comes again, it doesn't matter how bad it is or how short it lasts, we're just grateful to get some.

You are the exception to the rule.
Almost all Oil fans I know are absolutely stunned each year they don't win the division and make the playoffs. They wonder how that could possibly happen when they literally have the best team in all pro sports. Then the conspiracy theories begin spewing forth.
The media confirms this with them predicting President's Trophies every year since 2010.

Good thing about being older, you often become more of a fan and less of a fanatic.
Quitting hfboards helped, too.

Gotta love the trashy antics from Draisatl and then immediately turtling when Brady Tkachuk doesn't like it. Flames might be bad this season but E = NG!

Typical Draisaitl. The guy is just a dirt bag, from slew foots to slashes to punching guys in the throat.
As much as Oiler fans cry about the Flames being dirty, they are a far dirtier team, especially guys like high hit back hit jump from behind Kassian. Connor sucker hit connor. Leon human filth Draisaitl, and James the living ponzi scheme Neal.

Agreed. I would seriously be in a foul mood the next morning after a Flames loss. I hated school but couldn't wait until summer was over so I could watch the Flames
Now that i'm older with a wife and four kids, I am caring less and less every year.

Calling Neal a Ponzi scheme is absolutely unreal.

The ol pop and turtle.
Pop a guy in the mouth, then turtle when he engages.
It's the Oiler way. Draisatl has forever been a weasel.

I feel ashamed I didn't come up with Crysaitl before. Elegantly simple, and hilariously cutting.
