In the early '10's when we missed 5 straight years, I was still watching 77-78 games a year. It was still fun hockey and the expectations were low. But this? Blech...

2013-14 was one of the best years to watch the Flames. It was the first full season after losing Iggy. They were terrible. But expectations were very low and they busted their asses with entertaining hockey every night. Lots of young guys developing, Monahan's rookie season (he scored 20+).
This season is the polar opposite - high expectations, boring and uninspired hockey. Couldn't be a worse combination.
