He drew a double minor for this BS move...I feel a fine should be assessed.

How can one dive and get a double minor? The refs checked him out and saw blood or an injury of some kind.
Definitely looks like he gets a butt-end there, it's partially obstructed by the jersey I think. I don't think the initial graze is what gets him, but I think the butt-end comes in from underneath a 2nd time causing the reaction.

McCann also gets highsticked on the play and didn't draw a call.

That gif is extra funny because McCann catches one hard but it goes unnoticed
Actually, it does look like he did get hit, the butt end of the stick has white tape on it so it's hard to notice

It looks weak in the gif there, but if he drew a double minor..he got hit hard enough to bleed.

Did he get clipped? Probably, did he need the whole head jerk and stick toss? Never!

Yeah, I think he embellished it. But I think the butt-end comes up from underneath and gets him right in the throat, so a reaction is probably going to be pretty extreme in that situation and won't look flattering in slowmo either.

There are a ton of highlights where you see a guy get hit in the face and throw their head back after.

It’s in slow mo, so it looks bad, but that is a function of your brain processing the impact and your body reacting to avoid the danger situation.

He took a good butt end to the face. Nothing to see here

Looks like he took a pretty good butt end to the face. You don’t realize where the end of that stick is because of the white tape on a white jersey.

			Yes there was contact.
Yes it was a ridiculous dive trying to draw a penalty, but that’s a veteran move.

Crosby is one of the smartest players out there. If he doesn’t flop like that, high chance the ref doesn’t see it at all and the Pens don’t get the advantage.

I didn't notice either of those 2 things until you pointed them out. I am willing to accept that while it didn't look like he was hit "hard", it was a justified double-minor that the refs would have missed if he didn't embellish. Fair enough as far as I am concerned.

That high-stick on McCann was ridiculous though. Is Krejci the type of player to do something like that on purpose?

If they call that, they have to start calling McDavid's 2 or 3 ridiculous dives a night.

I took a puck to the face on the bench one time and looked at my winger and asked if I was ok. It takes time to process sometimes.
