Imagine getting anything for Ritchie. That would be sweet.

In the off-season. If he wants to game it, I doubt any of the following would be very interested (and most are nice places worst case scenario):
LAK
ANA
SJ
VGK
ARI
TBL
CHI
Next least likely are probably: MIN, WIN, STL, PIT, NYI, DET, NAS, COL, DAL, PHI (I'd chose the bolded if I were him)

Maybe, but he hasn’t fallen off the map like Monny.
Monny at his best has been better. But he hasn’t been better for some time now. And Monny may be damaged goods.
If Monny is traded before he starts producing like the old Monny, the return will reflect that. No one is going to look at his lifetime averages.

IF he is damaged goods, he won't get traded. They will need to disclose material facts (i.e. medical history) and the trading partner would have him examined by their specialist.

It's sad knowing at one point the flames had both Hamilton and Fox. They should of told Fox they would give him too 4 time and eventually the D fore would be his to lead.

That is correct. I think his injuries are chronic, in the sense that he is essentially healthy but his past injuries have robbed him of his shot.
I think what we see is what we have, the days if Monny being a valuable effective offensive player are gone.
Sure he could get 50 points playing premium ice time and 1st pp time with elite players, but so could many other guys. That’s a recipe for missing the playoffs as we have seen.
I expect he has the talent to become an effective checking centre. Although his lack of foot speed is not ideal.

1000% disagree. Flames don't have anyone to qb the pp not a consistent big shot.

To clarify wouldn’t have mattered because he still would not have signed here

He did the same thing in Carolina. He wanted to play for the Rangers.

Speaking of Carolina, did you know they have drafted 20 players in the past two years, have 7.5 million in cap space, and are 4th in point percentage?
Props to Don Waddell.
They should be big buyers at the deadline. Yet at the same time, they can easily sell Reimer for picks since they have 2 other good goalies.

Yeah, I'm not too fond of players taking this stance.

They should go for it because they won't be able to keep this team together cap wise. Lots of contracts up this summer.
They have 2 UFAs and 1 RFA in goal...don't think I would go trading one of them now you never know what happens
They have cap space now because Teravainen is on LTIR

Wish we could somehow pry Martin Necas away from them-6'2"C, 21yo, 28pts in 33 games. Quick, and a playmaker-would be great with Johnny.
Since they probably won't trade him, they have other young guys that would make them interesting trade partners.

I think Monahan's alleged injury is being greatly exaggerated. He's still out there there skating hard, pushing and shoving guys, stick lifting, defending, fighting for pucks. I personally have never seen him more assertive in the defensive zone. His lack of goal scoring probably has everything to do with the way his line is getting defended now. They've greatly reduced his line's ability to get out on to the rush which Monahan use to feast on. That's the biggest reason i believe his goal scoring is down. He's never been Stamkos one timing it from the hashmarks or McDavid going end to end, he needs #13 to get him the puck prime scoring areas and teams are defending that better than ever.

Except he whiffs on multiple point blank shots each game, so that doesn't really pass the eye test.

I used to blame Johnny for a lot of our woes, but now I really think we need we need to move on from Monahan, and maybe keep Gaudreau. I think aquiring a fast, play-driving C will make all the difference-Johnny has too much responsibility on his shoulders playing with Mony. Johnny can still be a valuable offensive catalyst, IMO.
