That's not ideal.
Period 1:
4 or 5 buttonhooks.
Resulting in 3 or 5 turnovers.
1 buttonhook was off of a change and he went in all Johnny dangles except there were 4 Oilers on him, turned into an odd man rush.

Period 2: getting into a stick fight with Russell seemed to engage him, there he was good for a little bit.

Didn't watch the 3rd.

That is exactly what happened. Thought the Flames were actually the better team but the Oilers got 3 scoring chances all game and scored 3 goals.

Flames needed either a big goal or a big save. They got neither. The Oilers got both. They’re top players were better than ours and they’re goalie outplayed ours. Story of the season. What a dreadful team.

Hanifin, Tanev, Gio were all good. Tkachuk had a good game, Lucic was pretty good. Didn’t notice Mangiapane all game.

Why does Gio never slap the puck. How many times does he flip a fluffier into the goalies stomach rather than teeing it up.

Time to bring up some kids now that we are looking to next year.

I honestly can't think of a single off season video I'd actually want to watch.

Expected little, pleasantly surprised by compete level. Threw it away with dumb penalties...again. thought the D was pretty good generally. Fun goal by Chucky. That was about it.

Oh well, the season in a microcosm.

At least a few positives:
Good draft pick
More chances Treliving gets fired
More chances the core is torn apart

I noticed a little more than usual, the problem is having both Monahan and Ritchie on his line, where the puck dies on their sticks.

Put him with Lindholm and Dube. Make Monahan play bottom 6 minutes until he gets his crap together.

Gaudreau - Lindholm - Dube
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane

Should be the top 6 next game.

He had to make it interesting for the audience, as there was no chance the Flames were going to tie it up.

At this point with draft position being the important thing I hope they ride Markstrom the rest of the season.

Lol. Easy to say. Woulda coulda.

And honestly, I don't think it matters anymore who's in net. This team is done like dinner.

Cash in the UFAs and get a decent lottery puck and move on to next season.

This is just a familiar bookend to this core.

Had to miss the game but saw Tanev had an A. I like that move by Sutter but can someone let me know who lost their A?

At least we can watch these dbags lose in the playoffs. With Smith coughing up the series clincher behind the net.
We could be in a playoff spot if we switched Smith for Markstrom this season...

Honest question, is this game worth going back and watching or no?
