The Hurricanes are outshooting Chicago 12-3 in the first period and it is still scoreless. Lankinen is in net for the Blackhawks. The Hurricanes have lost once in regulation in their past 14 games!

Actually we need Montreal to keep winning. Playoffs are a long shot . We need Montreal help Tre make the right decision at deadline and trade off ufa’s at the very least.

Calgary is closer to Edmonton anyway IMO

10 points with even games or 4 points plus 5 games in hand

Oilers will just have to go on a losing streak

Edmonton has a game in hand over Calgary. Edmonton has a much better winning % than Montreal.

Edmonton can’t lose games they’ve already won. Montreal could lose games at a greater percentage than they have been.

The odds are really bad for both, but if Calgary is going to catch anyone, the odds favour Montreal.

I am counting Edmonton losing this game...so even with 10 points back. Cheering for an Oilers losing streak is never a bad thing. Flames play the Oilers 4 more times...win them all.

It's such a hail Mary I will cheer for the ultimate miracle of the Flames taking the Oilers out of a playoff spot. The Oilers get outplayed every game just need Smith to come back to earth.

Not that it was really in question, but Montreal coming out and hammering yet another nail in the coffin of this season.

Treliving really should be deep into "selling" negotiations at this stage. I really hope we see some deals where we retain some money to maximize returns.

Ha. Ha. The greatest team and players of all time down 4 - 0 to the Habs. And they have just 10 shots in 40 minutes.

Devs putting some games together lately.

Wonder how the season would have turned out if they stayed healthy.

Playoffs won't do this franchise any good. It'll just continue to delay what we all know is needed, a rebuild. Last thing we need is BT to think additional depth pieces are needed to put this core over the top next year because they go on some quality end of season run. We've seen who this core is in crunch time.

That play should be at least a couple of games for McJesus.

He'll get a small fine or nothing.

He'll get a pat on the back with a "don't do it again, son".

Tkachuk probably gets 10 games for doing that... Double standard and despite his season this year Matthew is a star player too

Not sure it gets more blatant than that. What a moron.

Edit: I see it's a 4-0 game. Connor deals with losing pretty poorly. Could just play defense and maybe he wouldn't have to chase guys down with his elbow.

Of course there's a ton of Oilers fans saying it was a clean shoulder hit and it was a follow through that got him in the head.

And then there's the guy who said even if he was suspended it wouldn't matter because they're literally a top five team in the league (WTF?) and compared it to saying Washington would be in trouble if Ovechkin was suspended.
