Garage forgot to return mine last year. Didnt notice till today.
Socket and hammer will be the last resort.
Thanks.
Swing by any of the major tire shops, they usually have a drawer full and sometimes you get lucky, if not they should have an extractor socket which works just fine. Then throw those stupid things away and put normal lugs on. Haha.

Is this the size you're looking for? Not 82471, but I presume the key is the same for all Mcgard if the lugnut size is the same?
There's an open box one for $14 (this listing). Don't buy the brand new one, select seller and get the open box one and get the key plus extra lugs because package isn't pristine. Flip the lugs without key if you don't need them. I assume someone might still be interested in them even without key?
EDIT: Oh wait, wrong size. Above is 13/16 so IDK if that key would fit. The one you want is 9/16.
$40 and after you're done, I guess you can try and sell the lugs to recoup some cost? You can also contact Mcgard for a replacement key, but I presume it wouldn't be cheap.
I stopped by Integra Tire in Midnapore and they let me sort through their collection of keys until I found one that fits.
Those 4 locking lugs will now be permanently displayed on the window sill in my garage as a reminder to never install them again.
Yeah, I ditched the locking lug nuts off my vehicle, too. Stolen wheels just can't be a big enough problem to justify the PITA factor of locking lug nuts.
I decided to do some repairs this weekend and I solved a couple problems but potentially created a new problem. I had a bad rear wheel bearing so I replaced the hub. One of my calipers was shot as well so I replaced the rear rotors, calipers and pads on both sides. I took it for a drive and the new bearing is good, no more noise. The brakes are much better and stronger now. But under 30km/h there is some sort of low grinding noise from the one side. I have to pull the calipers and pads tomorrow to see if I screwed something up when I installed the new parts.

That reminds me of a business trip I took to Phoenix. Probably twenty of us including the customer staying at an ok hotel in an ok but not part of town. The account manager goes out in the morning and finds his rent-a-car on blocks with no wheels. A Nissan Altima or something like that. Now he has to reassure the customer about his choice of hotels...
yesterday i clay barred my rig. today, i am hoping to put on a coat or two of chemical guys hydra slick coating. i will have to see how warm it is in my garage later on today.

Threw two coats of hydra slick on this afternoon. The paint feels real nice.
To me the litmus test will be washing it and seeing how the water behaves. Also watching how it fairs on the next rainy day.
New question - what are some recommended shops for front end wraps these days. I looked at calgary paint protection, just because their website was first on my search.

Not sure how it'll go over here, but Subaru released the info on the Wilderness edition of the Outback. Sounds as though Forester and Crosstrek will eventually get versions, too.
Lifted. More body cladding. Skid plates. AT tires. Could do without those copper accents (and would like to see it in dark grey), but all in all, I'm going to be a fan.
