Something about Thompson and the Saddledome. Remember the bull#### high stick goal he scored for the ducks in the playoffs against the Flames a few years ago. Neither goal should have counted.

You are allowed to direct in with your skate, just can't kick at it, which he really didn't.
He just turned his boot open, and not really breaking stride or direction he was going, which is a subtle difference.
As mentioned, this is not applied the same. Gaudreau did the exact same year or two ago and called back. Have to find it.

I think on the goal that shouldn’t have counted it was a toss up, and then they err with the call on the ice. Hence why Furlatt is a piece of ####. He’s worse than Tim Peel.
