I have a difficult time believing that three separate coaches now are just determined to deny Kylington opportunities. It continues to happen no matter who it is behind the bench, which leads me to think that it is not as simple as him being unfairly singled out. Most likely, the problem is in what we are failing to see or to grasp.

Yeah I just dunno. I feel like the expectation of this franchise is that you have to come out of the minors and basically play NHL hockey right off the bat, or you go back down.

Watching the Leafs and Oilers then having to watch the Flames and hope for a good game is some kinda new torture.

Quine's another guy I thought deserved a hell of a lot longer run with the big club. Come up, play good, score a goal. See ya.

I'm not sure about that.
His first callup got him a 9 game stretch, then a 4 games stretch.
Last season he had another 9 game stretch and then got 3 playoff games with us too. 4 goals and 3 assists in those 25 games, 2 of those goals in a blowout win, another in his first game with us.

Watching Tor vs Edm right now... man, forwards coming back, the D can engage, make a hit, puck comes loose, easy.
And god damn: Thornton would be basically our best forward. How sad is that.

Oilers had 4 shots in the first period...Flames might be able to beat that

Exactly, I can’t believe there are idiots that still believe Treliving built a good team

Andersson, Bennett, Monahan, Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Valimaki, Backlund, Rittich, Mangiapane, Dube,
All guys that have been given a chance and stuck with the big club. All of them had bobbles along the way but managed to learn and grow from it. Under 4 different coaches at that.
There is no bias against Kylington or any other player....guys need to help, or at least not hurt, the team when their chances come to them. The franchise has a pretty good record of this.
Kylington is clearly not doing what has been asked of him by multiple coaches...whether that's in-game or in practice.

Two solid 200 foot teams in that game.

It’s taken me a couple weeks but I’ve reset my expectations for the season. Playoffs are out of reach now, so it’s about enjoying the game and seeing who steps up to show they deserve to stay. Hope that Tre can sell at the deadline and gain some assets going forward. And cheer like hell for whoever is playing the Oilers.

The Flames are 4-1-1 with Kylington in the lineup, and 11-16-2 with Kylington not in the lineup.
If Kylington is "hurting" the team, then what are the alternatives doing?

8pm Calgary time! None of that MST/MDT BS! Flames should win but every time i say that, they lose. I guess if they lose tonight, wouldn’t be a bad thing. At least if they keep losing, there will be change and/or Tre gets fired. If they win, just prolongs the agony of mediocrity.

The entire league didn't think Kylington was worth a roster spot earlier in this season...I would give him a shot but he seems to be a touch over rated here.

Other teams have dumb GMs but only the Flames get fooled by Stone, I can't believe another team would trade a thing for him or pick him up on waivers. He was a replacement level player when they bought him out, I doubt he's gotten any better with age.

Obviously there's guys who have come up, had an impact and stuck. But we've seen 10 years of guys replaced by .... servicable(?) vets rather than given stable lines, quality minutes, and a chance to learn and improve.
