For the past week That Darn Puppet hasn't left the basement, sobbing and downing bottle after bottle of cheap booze. When he's lost all hope, you know things are bad.

At some point they will get comfortable with the adjustments Darryl is asking them to make and play a bit more by instinct.

I am optimistic we start to see it tonight

Looking forward to a big win!

Over the last 10 game the Jets picked up 2 pts on the Flames

Jets 5-4-1 11 pts
Flames 4-5-1 9 pts

Jets lost to Montreal and Oilers 2 times each

Flames beat Montreal twice, Toronto and the Oilers

Paper thin margin between the teams.

Yeah know what? Since the Flames are one game below .500, they're gonna win just to keep our hopes up and then the mediocre continues to float in and out of playoff hopes just to be in a mediocre draft position. Unfortunately, it is what it is - man, that sounds like someone we know on the team...

Annoyed to see Nesterov in the lineup after his stupid penalty last game, plus I really like Kylington's speed. Not sure how he always seems in the coaches doghouse.

These forward lines probably are the best we can manage given the current roster.

1) The quotes are above the person suggested to have said it;

2) I picked some random apathy quotes from the interwebs; and

3) From the Edmund Burke Wikipedia page:

False quotations

"When good men do nothing"

The statement that "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" is often attributed to Burke despite the debated origin of this quote.[178][179]

In 1770, it is known that Burke wrote in "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents":

[W]hen bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.[180][181]

In 1867, John Stuart Mill made a similar statement in an inaugural address delivered before the University of St. Andrews:

Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.[182]

Just lose. Don’t care, there should be no stigma attached to tanking when the season is already lost (unplanned), when the stands are already empty (unplanned). Just react to the situation you’re actually in and focus all moves towards being better next season and beyond. Are we worried about a “losing culture” setting in? It’s already here, there is nothing further to fear.
Things are bad enough you don't have to make up things that didn't happen. Flames had six more wins than the Oilers in 2014. Flames actually lost their last game and that moved them up to 4.

Also, they might have picked Bennett anyway he was ranked higher by many scouts...#1 by central scouting.

I like Kylington in the lineup. It has got to be efforts in practices? Or we just have blinders on due to him being a draft pick.
Not sure why, but the third straight coach who tends to play him fleetingly. I hope he is able to find a way to work himself into the lineup.

Looks like Nordstrom is back. Both Nordstrom and Ritchie skated in the optional practice yesterday.

I know it's cool to pretend you're not going to watch the Flames and it's easy to trash many players right now but I'm not buying this, "they dont care" or "their GAF meter is on empty". These guys care. I see the effort. The execution has been the problem.

I've seen this team put it together, confidence is HUGE in hockey and this team is running with confidence at an all time low.

Yes, it's obvious some moves have to be made. They should have been made awhile ago. Still anything can happen.

I refuse to cheer for losses. I have and always will watch every game. I will cheer for them to turn it around. I will have hope until its mathematically impossible for us to make the playoffs.

That's how I roll. I understand it's not for everybody. Its painful being a Flames fan. I get this. You can all come back on the bandwagon once the team starts winning again, I've been around for this many times, there is always room.

Go Flames Go!
Yeah that's pretty much me.

I guess it doesn't come as a surprise that someone that has owned a Flames website for 24 years probably watches every game, but I'll always watch, and cheer for the win.

But I also like tipping points ... the team is either good and you go for it, or just not working out and change is needed. I don't always trust management (ownership) to see that line when it comes.

I have it at 5 losses. That's it for the rest of the season in 22 games. So as much as I'll be cheering for a win tonight and tomorrow night, there is certainly a silver lining in dropping both games, and making the writing on the wall in neon flashing lights.

But at puck drop I'm all in for beating the Jets.

I just love watching Flames hockey regardless of the situation. There's always something captivating to me.
