They should make the quarantine period even shorter for players that are both vaccinated and can show a negative test. This is good news though and surprisingly practical.

We already would have been able to, both to US and other Canadian teams. This only changes US players coming to Canadian teams. Unfortunately we don’t need to bring players in anymore, just send lots out.

Good point...this might actually decrease the demand for Canadian sellers. The Canadian buyers will have more options now. It was much better when they were limited to us, Ottawa, and Vancouver....who knows we might end up buyers....right guys?

Good move. I don’t see the harm in this. If I can get my negative COVID test results in 12 hours and be fine to go out in public why can’t these guys? I’m all for safety but I feel like two weeks in quarantine in excessive if you’ve had multiple negative tests. Even a week seems a bit much to me but I get it.

You can’t. Even with multiple negative test you have to stay in a hotel for three nights and then quarantine for 14 days.

Yeah, if I get a vaccine and a couple of negative tests I have a government mandated hotel quarantine and 14 days total.
But hey, NHL players are more important than the rest of us, so why should they have to follow the same rules.
If that's safe (and it almost certainly is) make the rules the same for everyone.
