Gulutzan, Peters, and Ward were terrible head coaches. They will never be head coaches in this league again. They were awful hires, and I think they damaged the development of almost every player on the roster.
People keep talking about this core being 2nd overall just a few years ago. That was Peters. The reason he'll never coach again is due to off-ice reasons. And the last sentence is just wrong. Several players got better, you know that.
Even if those 3 coaches were horrible like you say...........the main issue was still obvious over the past few years. Namely the top players not being the top players on the ice, or even their own team, consistently. Mentally fragile. Treliving screwed up not making moves years ago, too loyal to those players.

Gio just said in post game presser 'we're not a high scoring team'- Sutter's words. Team didn't have any problems scoring goals in the Peters area.
If we're going to be a tight checking defensive team we need personnel changes.
If we don’t sell at the trade deadline, then Treliving should be fired.
His inaction from a roster management perspective led to this. This team is hot trash.
I don't want them to have tunnel vision to sell at the deadline. They should do so if that's the right time to extract value. If COVID means there isn't enough actual interest - then wait until the off-season. But if that's the case there has to be a plan to how to do that then.
Those are the two pinch points
1. TDL
2. Off-season pre draft, pre Johnny NTC
Gotta be one of them.

I missed this one. I can honestly say not watching this team is infinitely better than watching them. There have been less talented Flames teams in the past but this is the worst Flames team ever IMO.

Agreed, a player like Derek Ryan could be a trade candidate at the deadline
He is a pending UFA and his salary is mostly covered
People wanted the new coach to weed out the problem in the core. We have that now. Would you trust Geoff Ward or Darryl Sutter to make that assessment?
