The dump and chase doesn’t work if we aren’t getting to the puck to retrieve it.
I don’t even think it’s the players fault as Ottawa knows it’s coming and is prepared for it.
I don’t even know what the hell needs to be done.
Also I knew I didn’t like Nesterov being in the lineup for a reason.

When your forwards score 0 goals in 6 periods against the worst defensive team in hockey, you know you done ####ed up.
FFS this team could trade away all of its forwards, call everyone up from the Heat and probably be better offensively.

Sutter is trying to get a team with half finesse forwards to play a grinding possession game. It’s the classic wrong tool for the job problem. Sure he can prove that our scorers suck at checking but it’s not going to help their trade value in getting players who can play dump and chase.
