I dislike dump and chase hockey... you give up possession to have a 50% chance of getting it back again... I’m hoping Sutter is just using this as a stopgap until they have more time in the off-season to change systems. He mentioned Tampa before, so I’m hoping that’s what it will be like.

Shooting percentage with this team is always a roller coaster, and it’s Very clear that this roster lacks finishers. Especially with Monahan seemingly having lost his shooting touch.
Shooting percentage:
17-18: 7.83 (29th)
18-19: 10.88 (3rd)
19-20: 9.22 (20th)
20-21: 8.85 (24th)
Compare that to our expected goals per 60.
17-18: 2.93 (4th)
18-19: 2.96 (5th)
19-20: 2.74 (12th)
20-21: 2.59 (11th)
Not too much of a problem creating chances (although that is a bit down over the last two years as they tried to tighten up defensively) but certainly struggle to finish these chances.
