Parsons cleared to play, beginning quarantine process

Sigalet's exact words on the broadcast:

"Tyler's just coming back from an injury and he's been finally cleared so we're gonna get Tyler over here now and, probably see, he's got to quarantine but I'm excited to get him back on the ice. He's been working hard and he's supposed to be in really good shape, so, can't forget about him. He's definitely still a prospect in our mind and, for him, he's just gotta stay healthy and play a bunch of games."

No, just the he has been cleared to play hockey in general. On the farm. Sigalet is essentially the GM of the goaltending division, not just a coach any more. He has total oversight over all goaltending matters.

Parsons will likely be 3rd
string until he is up to speed. I think 3rd. Sparks, Zagidulin, Parsons. Am I forgetting one?

Zagidulin is with the Flames right now. I think they'll be keeping Domingue in Stockton for a while but I'm not certain about that.
Sparks hasn't signed a contract with the Flames or Heat, so he might still be released if they want to let Parsons get into more games and give Sparks another opportunity elsewhere.

They should name the ECHL team the humidity...then you could send a guy down and say "it's not the heat it's the humidity"

I sure hope Parsons can finally catch a break and turn his career back around, and heading into the right direction. Of all the bad breaks the Flames have suffered in drafting, this is a really big one: Parsons looked like a bona-fide future star NHL goalie for the first couple of years after the draft. The skills and the fundamentals are there, but his whole pro career has just been a nightmare of mental health issues and injuries. I am still rooting hard for this guy.

24-25 is usually when goaltenders mature into legit NHLers, so there's still some runway when it comes to Parsons.

Yeah, but not much left. A NHL goalie should establish co systems dominance in the AHL by that time. Parson would need to hit tbe ground running for tbat to happen.
