For me, I lived his work the last couple years, and I defended him on stuff with Doughty and of course Kassian. But a lot of the stuff this year that people call “showing he cares” I think are self-serving. Always after the whistle, always about himself. Going after Holl was good though - I’ll give him that.
All treat this stuff did was fire up the Sens who they play again.

I swear, the Flames must be leading the league in having offensive zone possession, then mistakenly missing their pass back to the D-man and back out to the neutral zone. Had to have happened 10 times last night.

I don't condone the puck taking if all it was meant to be was a slight on the others team but people are quick to assume it was petty behaviour. Like someone mentioned, Ras may have been grabbing the puck to celebrate a milestone of their own for himself or a member of our team.
Was Tkachuk just hitting it out of spite or was he sending it closer to the herd of senators players? Hard to know for sure.
We don't know the motivations for what happened at the end there. All the "he took a puck!? Trade him!" Stuff is childish and based on assumptions. Apparently brady Tkachuk did the same thing to carey price before. Guess Ottawa should strip his A and trade him as well. Sometimes people are also forgetting how young most of these guys still are and they're also dealing with a weird year and a lot of frustration and may make the immature action at times. Most of us weren't faultless at that age and making the mature decisions 100% of the time either.

... because he then shot it down the ice away from his brother like they were in peewee.
And, since this opinion is apparently been seen as “trade them all!!!”.... that’s not what I’m saying. No, I don’t believe players should be traded away for that mostly nothing act. Just thought it was embarrassing. I don’t know why that clarification was needed, but there it is.

So much overreaction to the Rasmus stuff.
Brady did the exact same thing earlier this year.
Just trolling the other team, Pronger was great at it too.
Much ado about nothing IMO.

It takes a level of effort and emotion that I would argue we don’t see enough during actual game play. So yeah, it’s frustrating.

Pronger was great at everything.
Winning, especially.

The Tkachuk brothers are not the bar for class in the NHL.

The Tkachuk Brothers sound like they rob stagecoaches bound for the Black Hills of the Dakota territory.

I think Rasmus wants it for sure.
He’s had a rough year but for him I’ve never thought it’s been about effort or not caring enough. He always seems to be a guy that wears his emotions on his sleeve a little bit.
Him and Gio just don’t have chemistry and the team seems to be forcing it a bit. Honestly going Gio-Tanev, Hanifin-Andersson might be worth a look, Gio could use the protection more than Hanifin at this point.

This team needs more trolls.
We say we want guys that care more and hate to lose.
Then they show some emotion and act like a bit of a jerk and everyone goes “Oh they are so classless”.
He was trying to troll them a bit, not a big deal, and happens a couple of times a season and it never gets mentioned for more than a second usually.
Just people Making a big deal about nothing.

If only we had a home-grown 30 year old top pairing defenseman who brought out the best in our captain, could lead the rush with speed, make brilliant breakout passes, and match up against elite skaters like Connor McDavid.
If only someone existed who could do all this for only $400k more than Noah Hanifin.
If only.

If he was trying to win points by giving it to them, he would’ve gone between the legs

Yeah. Used to have one.
Tried to trade him for a guy with a NTC. That let him know which team wanted him so he just went there for free instead

You all need to give this puck taking a rest. You all sound like a bunch of millennial babies yourselves. He tossed it back on the ice ffs. Nothing to see here, give it up. You think this was the first time this has happened?! Rasmus is Swedish just like their goalie IIRC. They might even know each other. Tkachuk knocking it away, non issue. Get that distraction out of there and make them go get it. whoopy shyt. You think if that puck actually made it to the dressing room that Mathew wouldn't have gotten it to Brady. Like come on. They lost a must win, they are pissed. Not the first time this has happened, there's at least one from a cup winning game that they still can't track down and the ref/linesman were involved in that.
There are a lot of other issues here to be dealt with. Quit piling onto it with something so insignificant. Boo hoo, he took my puck. Babies.

Imagine watching this team day in day out for six years and concluding you’re better without TJ Brodie.
