We'll be lucky to get a 1st from the Flyers for Gaudreau. But they are still in shooting distance from a playoff spot, so maybe good timing here.

This thread is about this game ...he gave them a chance to win.

2 GA is fine. If I could get that every night I would.
And that should be good enough to secure you points out of any game.
2 to 4 goals from your offence on a typical night is a reasonable expectation, even from a middle of the road top six. Its up to your offence to not be this anemic.

So this is it? Regulation loss against the worst team in the division playing their 4th string goalie? Well, at least we know.
P.S. For anyone keeping track, Gaudreau finally scores a 5-on-5 goal. And he does it with Monahan on the bench. Just sayin’.

Yes, I do. I can’t think of any game that was on him. In fact he’s won a whole bunch of games by himself. And he absolutely doesn’t deserve to be ‘called out” for this game.

Give it to Darryl's son Chris. None of the players deserve it.

Come on man. That’s absolutely a team stat. I don’t know how anyone can watch the Flames this season and conclude that goaltending has been part of the issue.

For the record I think it would be insanely stupid to trade Markstrom and he’s my favourite Flame this year.
|
I've been pretty disappointed in him since he came back from injury. Maybe it's because he was so good before he got hurt, but over the last few games I find myself wincing in every shot, with no faith he will make the save.

Well... I think it is more than one line... i think the lines take turns crapping the bed! Pretty sure we need to clean out 2 or 3 core guys to get the stink out.
