If Darryl wants to start kicking players on the bench, I wouldn’t object.

To think, the Sens playing their rookie is akin to the Flames starting Zags or Parsons.

Regardless, good spot to get into the scoring position and nice play by Leivo too.

Why would you try to go five-hole when you have that much momentum and the whole right half of the net is open for you to either slide or elevate the puck into?

Give Monahan another 20 games to get used to the new coach. Next season will be very promising

Monahan and Gaudreau are having thier issues but Bennett is not the right answer, and never was.
They need a trigger man. Or another skilled player. That was of course Hudler years ago, and then out of nowhere Ferland was that player for 3/4 of a season over two seasons, when he could just be there to get the puck and then finish chances.

To be fair he is probably better than their starter/backup

Monahan's lack of confidence in shooting and Gaudreau's lack of confidence in passing is just painful to watch.

Is it an interception when the puck is passed right to the player by Bennett? lol

To be fair, a goalie could literally stay completely still in the net covering his five-hole while leaving 90% of the net wide open and Gaudreau would still try to go five-hole

Come on dude, this is nothing like Gully hockey. It’s the baffling and sudden drop off of Gio, Monahan, Johnny, Backlund and Chucky that stinks here. And at least in Backlund and Gio’s case you can say this was expected given their age.
It seriously just sucks that the entire core of this team has been AWOL since the Colorado massacre and the GM continually refuses to address it.

If there is another goal in this game, the team that scores that goal will win.

Possibly, however his stats in the AHL are pretty mediocre. I just saw he appears to be about 4th on the depth chart. Nonetheless, it wouldn’t surprise me if a SO happens, based on the game thus far.
