Quite the dramatic criticism.

No different then any other NHL player not scoring on a half breakaway chance.

He tried to open up the goalie and go five hole, but was going too quick and the puck slide up the stick enough to not go through the five hole when he took the backhand shot. He also could've held onto the puck and gone around the goalie.

Regardless, good spot to get into the scoring position and nice play by Leivo too.
