Yeah, of course his point totals are going to take a hit. When your playing with Johnny "Pablo Escobar" Gaudreau, and he's blowing snow all night, you're not going to get the puck in scoring areas very much.

Hahahahahaha. "Blowing snow" is when you slam on the breaks hard because you think you're going to get hit. Your blades dig into the ice and you "blow snow." Jesus Christ.

Was the Pablo Escobar reference about Gaudreau's physical appearance? Was "blowing snow" a reference to recent weather?
Nevermind. See the explanation now.

He probably meant both given the rumours and all. You can just ignore the humour attempt and still agree with the fact that Gaudreau is doing everything he can now to avoid contact and that really is not helping anyone.

You know, just like Gaudreau did on that last shift. Crosses the blueline and senses the defenseman coming across and he blows snow because he thinks he's going to take a hit.

“Blowing snow“ is a hockey phrase that means a player is avoiding contact.
Literally, putting on the brakes to avoid it.

That is how I took it, to be honest. As in stopping and shredding the ice due to not wanting to drive the net, just play the perimeter game.

I didn't know there were rumors of Gaudreau doing drugs? Not within his character or upbringing IMO, so the whole idea is ludicrous.

People lose their lids just because someone said blow and snow in the same sentence
Maybe if more of us were on drugs this would be a more entertaining thread
