It has. A peeve of mine is during an interview when the host, be it Steinberg (especially bad), Nault or even Pinder (this seems to be a SN960 exclusive), asks the riveting question..."How excited are you about..." or How happy were you when..", I don't think an interview goes by without this type of question. Lazy ass interviewing.

Francis on a roll today trashing Johnny hard this morning. Saying he should be benched like Dube and doesn't deserve his ice time while. Pinder had to intervene and mention that Monahan has stopped scoring and the guy on the right side is a PTO player. There's definitely something personal there.

He has been trying to run Johnny out of town for a while. I believe it was Pinder that called him out on it a month ago or so.
Francis is awful. I can't read anything he writes anymore and switch channels when he is on during intermissions.

He's probably butt hurt that Johnny's sister trolled him on twitter. Doesn't seem like the Gaudreau family likes him much.

Or he is just repeating what he read on here. Many here want JG benched/traded etc.
Is he really wrong?
IMO he is wrong to only single out Johnny. I'd sit him and Monahan for half a game. It's not like they are helping this team win right now anyways.

I don't think benching ever really does much except escalate a situation and potentially de-value the players.

Would love for someone to make this statement to Sutter at a presser. Or ask him why he benches players since it doesn't do much.

Actually I'm going to retract my statement. I was thinking benching in terms of scratching Johnny or Monahan. Which i don't think does much for star players.
I realize this is more about benching players in game which does have a role.

I think with a young player like Dube he's sending him a message that a half hearted one hand attempt to clear the puck across the blueline won't get it done in the NHL. For established star players if one of your top guys is having a poor night there's nothing wrong with cutting back his ice time or keeping him on the bench as you hope he gets the message for the next game. Putting one of your top players in the press box is a major move that usually generates headlines and to me it's always a 50/50 thing where it could get the desired effect if the player takes it to heart or simply make things worse and drive the player out of town.

Darryl said he realized Dube didnt have his legs because of the back to back games, and when he isnt skating, he cant be effective.

I'm not sure I believe this statement.
If he "didn't have his legs" I think I would need to seriously question is commitment to fitness

Couple years ago Spittin Chiclets did a bit about Draisatl when Biz starts going off about Drai's cologne line he's releasing in Germany.
Whit had to be like, are you a ####ing idiot? He's from Cologne, Germany.
Honestly one of the best bits of radio ever.

Who are the AHLers that get dressed for the Flames games?
You shorten the bench. That's what happens when you sit someone for a period.

I listened to Lou this afternoon at lunch, wow, when he decides he is going to start asking himself questions and answering them, that is some ear bleeding radio, he went off for about 90 seconds. One thing Lou has to realize is IMO, color guys are better when less is more, he's on the radio too much IMO, he can't separate the player from the man, so he is constantly excusing their poor play. Mike Rogers at least had the stones to call out bad play, but he also realized the show wasn't about him, our two guys are not great when compared to a lot of the other teams in the league. Why can't we get an ex-player to do color, someone who has been in the room and isn't a fan boy?

Wow it really seems like Nault and Willis genuinely dislike each other. Straight up arguing like kids.
