you forgot to mention the scene where WW tells a little girl she can be anything she wants to be when asked if she can be like her someday.
lol, sorry, no. Unless you are also 1/2 god, 1/2 ancient immortal race of amazon warriors.
I dont know what they're doing with WW....but they've got to tone down the BS platitudes.
Its beyond ridiculous now.

this bothered me too. Does Aquaman have the power to make boots, cable-knit sweaters, and fur-lined jackets just appear every time he shows up on land? There must be a lot of stylishly dressed villagers in that town wearing his cast offs.
I kept laughing about how they went to slow motion as he almost sensuously striped off his shirt, while zooming around at the villages and especially the woman staring at him in slow me.
Then he strips off his shirt and leaves on his heavy pants and boots and slowly dunks under water.
I wonder if his thing was stripping off his Aquaman underoos if that same girl with the creepy predatory look in her eyes would eagerly fight 10 other people for his underwear and take a slow motion snort off of them.
I imagine its going to end up as a SNL skit.

I hear you but telling a little kid that they can be whatever they want is kind of what a mature adult is supposed to do in that situation, petty much any other anwser makes you a dick.

Believe me I've been that dick, not worth it.
I'm not Advocating being a dick, but WW84 was basically a film about empty platitudes.
"The world and the truth and life is enough!! Its beautiful and beauty is enough!!!"
I'm checking my watch or the run-time of the film.
If its a terrible film, it should at least not be preachy.

I still really liked Man of Steel and Batman V Superman (the extended/directors cut is awesome).
I really enjoyed Man of Steel and I think Cavill is great as Superman. I never really understood the hate that movie got. Also the score is ####ing awesome. Although I stan basically any Hans Zimmer score.

The DCEU has been pretty much downhill from there with a minor uptick for the first 2/3 of Wonder Woman.
I’ll get around to the new JL. I’m interested at least. Once I can find it for free that is. The DCEU hasn’t earned my cash since BVS.
Total side bar but I listen to Hans Zimmer scores constantly, especially while working. He’s unbelievable.

If they could rework the MoS, I would have made Russell Crowe the villain and Zod the tragic figure. I generally watched it that way anyway, but it would be nice if it was intentional.
The ending is very problematic. After killing what is likely thousands of people, I didn't understand the qualms over eye lasering a couple of silly earthlings.

I didn’t mind the end as much as many. It was literally his first fight as Superman (or really, ever. Seriously he had obviously never been in an actual fight or he would have been a murderer) with a far superior bred-to-be warrior. It makes sense that he wasn’t all that smart about it.
The quick blow through a building versus having to actually watch people get sliced to bits tracks with just normal human empathy. People die by our hands with every purchase of something from Walmart or Amazon, but that doesn’t mean we can stomach watching someone murdered in front of us. And the MCU is full of those types of moments. The big difference is they gave themselves a chance to address the fallout via things like Civil War and Endgame. BvS started out trying to go this route, the first 1/4 of it being decently engaging, and quickly fell off the rails into wtf is this?
There are big flaws in MoS, but I don’t find it to be a chore to watch. The rest of these movies really are.
Yeah, I've always found the indiscriminate deaths of hundreds/thousands and the millions/billions in property damage to be a funny quirk of superhero movies.
"Yeah I may have accidentally levelled an entire building and killed all the people inside of it... but don't you dare harm that child!"
I love how well MOS flows into BvS and now how BvS flows into JL. Its right up there with the Nolan Batman films for me as favorite superhero trilogy. I can't pick which one I prefer more, I think it's a tie.

Those trilogy’s aren’t even on the same stratosphere.
Begins and Dark Knight are two of the greatest super hero movies ever.
Man of Steel is underrated, and this trilogy isn’t as bad as the hate it gets (well the original Justice League deserves it), but even ignoring all that Batman Vs Superman still has the worst possible Lex Luthor and Doomsday possible.

So I went and checked your posting history. It's gotta be a really strange hobby to join a Hockey Fan Forum to post about tennis, and troll people about super hero movies. I don't read the tennis thread, so I'm not really sure about the context of your posts there, and I had assumed you just had bad taste in movies, but I am now convinced you are trolling us.
Location: In a land without pants, or war, or want. But mostly we care about the pants.
Exp:
Maybe she just likes what she likes and doesn't care what other people think. Personally I find it amazing anyone likes the John Wick movies, or Star Wars, which are both utter dreck, but I don't assume people that do are trolling, I just assume they have different tastes in movies, and also low moral standards and undeveloped prefrontal cortexes.
Wait, what was my point again? Oh yah - superhero movies are like cheeseburgers and someone still keeps McDonald's in business. Have some fries.

I find it funny how upset some people get when I state my opinion. People get so fired up just because I prefer DC to Marvel. I never said all Marvel movies are bad in fact I enjoy them and I have seen almost everyone opening day in theatres. Everyone has a different opinion, film is subjective. Im not going to apologize for legitimately loving the films from DC and Zack Snyder.
Also the tennis thread is awesome and filled with nothing but positivity no matter who you cheer for. It's a pleasure talking tennis with the regulars there. Flames have been frustrating the last few years, tennis has been the opposite.

I really liked the Man of Steel movie. It checked a lot of my personal check boxes.
It had a sympathetic villian, Zod was a man driven by duty and the love of his race (errr wait, now he sounds like Hitler). But he failed the first time to save his race, and is utterly ruthless and determined to save Krypton. I also liked the second command and her "Good Death is its own reward" philosophy.
I thought HC was exceptionally good as Superman, Amy Adam's though was a great Lois.
I thought, finally, in terms of the battle between the hero and the villains, just laying waste to entire towns and cities. I thought it looked awesome, and it was a great sob plot of why Super hero's aren't the greatest thing as guardians. Zod and Superman were almost like two uncaring Gods as they laid waste in their fights.
I thought it was solidly acted, it looked great, even thought the Kevin Costner death scene was just stupid looking. I'd have rather had Clark learn that his powers have consequences this way
Then they followed it up with what I would call a steaming pool of stuff in BVS, God stop casting JE, he does the same thing in every movie.

I think the only one who considers this a DC vs Marvel thing is you. It's mostly just that DC makes some terrible movies that you seem to like solely because it's DC, which is just as ridiculous as the people who like Marvel movies solely because they're Marvel movies. DC/Marvel seem to attract this kind of absent thinking, for whatever reason.
Like honestly, I don't buy the weird victim play. You go around constantly trying to invalidate criticism of DC movies by suggesting they're being somehow related to Marvel fanboyism. Sure, these are the two biggest comic book franchises making films right now, so there are always going to be comparisons, but it's pretty ridiculous to act like any criticism of a DC movie is because of Marvel.
As someone who isn't a comicbook fan, I look at the movie as a movie, not based on who produced it. If people are actually getting upset because you prefer DC to Marvel, it's because you think there ought to be sides so you've picked one, which is ridiculous.
It's great that you like DC movies. But I bet less people would dunk on you if you didn't try to invalidate every single criticism about them. I get that doesn't follow the fanboy code, but give it a shot.

You'll find the opinions on this site are especially polarized. Pretty much the entire internet is calling the Snyder Cut great, outside of this site. I have yet to see a bad Youtube review from a major Youtuber in the genre. The fact you have people, who pledge themselves as comic book fans, stating that they don't have the time or won't watch DC movies is pretty absurd.
Personally, I think it's a little offside how much people on here bash the DC movies, often before having actually seen them. These are the same people who cried about taking away from their movie experience when posters wouldn't state Infinity War was the best comic book movie ever made (which it wasn't).
I don't always get your enthusiasm, but I don't think you're trolling. At least no more than the Marvel fanboys, who can't admit that many Marvel movies are mediocre.
