I actually thought they battled harder tonight.

Just can’t generate anything offensively right now. Ritchie needs to be taken off the Gaudreau line.

Well now you have to go 2/2 against Ottawa or it’s game over.

Also give Gaudreau and Mangiapane better line mates.

I think Calgary has played TO well overall this year. The problem is the losses to OTT, which I am thinking will be fixed.

Big whatever move on. We got the split with the team in first and that is fine.

Crybaby Matthews having a hissy fit on the bench about something in the third. Yet his team is winning 2-0. Selfish player right there- probably mad he didn’t pad his stats.

And of course the Mtl/Vcr is in OT. Don’t think this is the Flames year. There is something rotten with this team.

The needed to go 20-10 under Sutter.

They are now 4-2 under him.

That means they have to go 16-8 the rest of the way.

Just need to keep winning two for every one they lose.

I'm getting a little worried that the effort level of the first three games is starting to peter out. They didn't have the energy level required to play the Sutter style effectively. Also they need to practice their shooting as I can't remember a team that shoots do many pucks right into the goaltender's crest. Their shot placement tonight was horriffic.

Weird game with Rittich letting in goals he shouldn't, and the Flames are lucky this wasn't a blow out. Couldn't get anything going all game, but hey, at least we split mini series 1-1.

Time to take 2 wins against Ottawa now.
I don't think this is possible with our team

Against most teams you would be upset about hitting the post and missing a chance to go up by 3. Against the Flames he could appear to be selfish I guess.

Let’s face it. We are going to go a shade under 500 the rest of the way and likely finish just above OTT. Playoffs are not realistic.

I don’t expect any major moves before the end of the season but if Tre can get some picks for a guy or two that would be great.

Looking forward to a significantly different roster next year with Darryl behind the bench.

I hate that losses like this happen. But either way, at least something fancy is happening here in Calgary. We're in a win-win situation.

If they play well, great, maybe an elite coach is what the team needed after all.
If not, great, let's find players that care and are willing to go with Sutter's flow.

Life is good.

That game was less than ideal.

The team is built around JG, SM and MTkachuk ... time to think forward as to what needs to be done this summer and trade those cap heavy players who do not perform to expectations. There is no future in these current core players

Oof, that was an ugly one. Just completely outclassed in almost every aspect. When our top forwards are playing like bottom sixers (or worse) we’re not going to win many games. I feel like the hole Ward put the team in is too great to climb out of at this point, playoffs are probably a pipe dream but I am super glad Sutter signed a 3 year deal so he can start from scratch the next couple of seasons. For the love of all things holy, please take Ritchie off the Monahan line. Tre please, find a suitable linemate for Johnny and Mony.

With tonight's result, the Flames now don't have a player in the top 60 in the NHL in points/game. Speaks volumes about what this team is lacking in the worst way: a true star forward.

I wouldn’t say life is good. This franchise is embarrassing to say the least. Constant failure is the only constant with this group.
