Anybody look into Chia blockchain? They just released their mainnet for farming yesterday.

Storage seems to be the main requirement. You need a fast SSD for the temp storage but can use an external HDD for the permanent storage. I started doing it yesterday so we'll see how it goes.

I don't post negatively about crypto. I post about peoples' ridiculous expectations about future returns and their overconfidence. And I loath seeing unqualified people promoting things recklessly.

But you are so overconfident that you see any comment that doesn't agree with your view as negative.

As a professional money manager who has been doing presentations on behavioral finance for decades, I try to provide some balance and a voice of reason, but it's called human behavior for a reason: people are going to do it anyway.

You did say that btc isn't secure when it's probably the most secure store of value in history.

Its a crypto thread the rest is irrelevant, nobody has to answer. Just seems strange that someone who posts 100% negative is invested, curious what they have actually bought.

In the Stonks thread people posts their buys and portfolios all the time...good buys are congratulated. Too much butt hurt in crypto, not sure why I even post here. At least I know some of you that PM'd me to ask about the halving got on the rocket.
I wasn't being serious in asking, was poking fun at you for the audacity of asking strangers on the internet to post their financial portfolios.
If you're gonna ask, you should be the first to post all of it.

And the rest is relevant if you're all in on crypto and don't have any other investments.
It shows why you have such an emotional bias to it and shows the risk in your portfolio (and upside potential linked only to 1 asset class).

He said he had crypto and I asked which ones...standard practice in the stonks thread.

I risked 15 grand, something I could easily afford to lose and have 40x it in 3 years I'm pretty thrilled.

I invest in plenty of boring things and own a home but this is a crypto thread last I checked.

Has anyone used a crypto bot to facilitate their daily crypto trading? Just curious if they are worth it, safe to use, etc? I just started doing some research on it. Any thoughts/opinions are much appreciated.

You might want to see a specialist if you believe years are calling you.

- Item with limited use gains value
- People acquire item with intent to future sell for profit
- “Value” rises as buys over sells rise as “value rises” as buys over sells rise...
- Situation makes news
- Tulip growers, fertilizer producers, flower pot makers, transporter industries etc. all expand and make hay
- Population panics to get in on the speculation train before missing out on worthwhile multiplier

Bitcoin fanboys try to convince themselves it’s different by coming up with storylines like:
- Government is horrible, we must break away
- Financial institutions are evil (they are relatively but that’s no valuable reason to break up the Bitcoin-Tulip comparison)
- Holding large amounts of fiat is bad (no one does this anyway)
- Bitcoin will become the global payment method, and everyone worldwide will turn in their fiat for Bitcoin...(lol, how?)
- Bitcoin’s last sale price will rise for infinity (Narrator: it didn’t)

I should point out that tulip mania lasted over 5 years after steadily increasing a decade before that as Holland found itself flush with cash, the price of futures contracts on the bulbs reaching massive highs in the last year, dragging the price of all bulbs up with them until the whole bubble burst, the price of bitcoin has almost entirely followed the price of tulip bulbs, everything about the price of bitcoin looks and acts like a classic bubble, now that doesnt mean it is or isnt a bubble but it sure as hell looks like one.

I took your post as asking him what investments he has (not crypto).
If you were asking what crypto he holds, I can understand that.
My misunderstanding.

Keep basing your financial decisions on something that happened in the 1600s I guess. You guys were saying the same thing when I bought 10 Bitcoins for $15k.

I'm making big money no matter what, only question is how big. "Smart" money is buying Bitcoin now it's not like it's being propped up by Joe welfare check like alt coins.

You had similar doubts though to what people were saying otherwise you would have bought more. It was a high risk high volatility investment that would have been poor risk management to go 100% in on.

You weren’t even talking about Bitcoin when I bought 300 for $3k. You also weren’t even talking about it back when I bought 10 tulips for 300 guilders.

Ya, I’m lying about the last part. I wasn’t alive in the 1600s.
