No Francis, this isn’t a track meet. There’s been a couple less than great goals. But it’s not end to end constant chances. I don’t think Sutter is too down on the defensive play so far.

xGF% stands for expected goals percentage.
It's a stat that assigns a numerical value to every shot attempt taken. All those values are added up to give the two teams cumulative totals.
When Gaudreau has been on the ice today at even strength, the Flames have generated just 1.6% of the expected goals.
