Effort not the issue for sure. Lack of skill to execute when chances present themselves? Definitely.

Gaudreau/Monahan continue to generate absolutely nothing.

@Fan960Wills

Elias Lindholm had 64 goals in 374 games in 5 seasons with the #Hurricanes. With a goal tonight, he now has 64 goals in 181 games in 2 seasons with the #Flames. #CofRed

Despite the Oilers scoring, the Flames were quite good in that period and the PP finally started to show some promise in the dying minutes there. Just need to clean up the stupid turnovers and we can still come back in this one.

The score totally flatters the Oilers IMO. They haven't looked that good in this game and they're ripe for a collapse.

Should be a good third period so long as the Oilers don't score early.
Their chances are getting progressively more dangerous.

I think it will be hard to be upset with the final 40 if you just keep doing the same things with that same urgency.

If MS holds the fort for them, then oh well, its just one of those nights then.

I think Smith is gonna work on a shutout in the 3rd. He should try for some assists.

At the end of the day, it's still the Oilers' non-existent defense and subpar goaltending.

A comeback is definitely possible, just don't let the Oilers score again (don't take any penalties).

Yeah the little details is where they are failing. Sutter will have lots of film of how not to play.

Unfortunately for us we have a fairly non-existent offence.

It was interesting today learning that Sutter learned at the feet of the league’s first video coach. Roger Neilson.

That’s the difference. Flames best players have to be loads better.

Too much perimeter.

Flames really are missing a game breaker so they have to play almost mistake free.

Well we have at least one Mike Smith puck-handling gaffe to look forward to, so all is not lost yet.

I think they can do this.

Stajan provides good commentary. I'm glad someone's doing that.
