I wouldn't hate it if you could manage to trade Chucky for two second line players including a RW. GMs would still be enticed by what he brings when he's playing his game.

Just not very interested in paying him 9M this summer if he can't get motivated under Sutter.

I just have some issues with the character he's shown when facing adversity. He softens for a period of time following any kind of challenge from a guy like Doughty and Muzzin.

Even after the Kassian shenanigans, he just got really quiet for the rest of that BOA series precisely when you'd love for him to elevate his presence.

Mark Stone isalso a dog #### skater. Also Sutters game is about puck possession and transition, not just eed. Daryl has never had a team full of speed

That contract will be an absolute anchor if it’s longer than 2 years.

I've seen every Flames and Predator game this year and last year, and I would do Tkachuk for Forsberg and Arvidsson in a heartbeat. I don't think Poile would go for that though. If the Preds are going to pay people 9+ mill, they need to be centers. The Preds already have overpaid players and shouldn't be trading their few good contracts for Tkachuk-like situations.
Tkachuk has regressed in two consecutive seasons and probably won't justify it with a flat cap. He's on pace for 60 points in an 82 game season.

With that said, I think Tkachuk is very valuable for other teams. He's probably the only Flame that can be a centerpiece in an Eichel deal.
