This guy should probably go back to coaching soccer as he's clearly not an NHL head coach. They really need to get the next coaching hire right.

Bruce Boudreau is my number 1 guess.

Maybe Gallant but doubt it.

12 straight losses will do that to you.

About time. I don't know how you give him that much rope. That team should at least be competitive enough for a playoff spot. They're at least more talented than the Devils and Rangers, yet are way behind them in the standings.

About two weeks too late, this season is in the can for the Sabres already. Take time to get the next hire right.

Coaching does not really matter, it is not like Kruger told the Sabres to suck. So I think Ward could do a good job in Buffalo.

He was getting grilled by the reporters. Felt sorry for the guy. Some low blows in that interview.

Hire a reputable President of Hockey Operations who will oversee the organization and designated proper roles. Owners own, managers manage, scouts scout, coaches coach, players play.

Dean Lombardi?

Really someone had to answer to the poor play of the team as they were playing worse than the Senators. He did a worse job than Ward and that's not an easy thing for an NHL head coach to do.

They're doing worse than the 13/14 and 14/15 Sabres. Which is really telling

Man, I wish they won the lottery in 2015. I would be cheering on McDavid for sure instead of rooting against him every chance I get.

Yeah, that was harsh. Some fair questions, but also a couple of reporters that came across as aiming to attack him rather than get info.

Venue and situational decorum with regards to what is deemed appropriate during media scrums looks to be taking a back seat to sensationalism.
