He'll only fight if it's below his weight class anyway. He's not gonna take on Ritchie he knows he'll get tuned

Thanks AC as always! Another fabulous part of that clip is the camera shaking behind the Flames bench from Tanev pummeling McDoofus into the boards before the puck goes up the ice...

Just listened to Cory Sarich on the FAN and I must say his takes are great.

He's not the brightest bulb in the display case, so I doubt those things would even creep into his mind. He's been significantly subdued this year in general, so I don't see him being in the game or not moving the needle at all. He's just another warm body killing ice time.

If he was injured, I may expect a closer look
The league has always said the injury and time off has no bearing on discipline. Though, like everything in the nhl, I suspect there's a wink wink nudge nudge.

I hope Tkachuk thunders another hit to him so his lid pops off again then watch the national media buzz and try to create a bull#### narrative again.

Eric Francis says no discipline.

Not even a fine? Good to know the Flames can make that exact hit on McDavid next game and will receive zero punishment.

Right or wrong I think him getting pummeled in a subsequent fight was enough punishment in the league's eyes.

Maybe they saw it as an unfortunate circumstance where the smaller player was on the way down and he made a conscious effort to tuck in his elbow?

Either way, Ritchie dished out the punishment. Which is way better than a measly fine that doesn't really affect him personally in any way.

Yeah, predictable especially after Kylington came back to the game and Khaira didn't

Can you imagine the outrage out of Dumpsville and on sportsnet if anything close to that happened to McAvi?

They think a trip should be a 25 year suspension, a hit like Khaira's on McDavid and they'll be asking for jail time

I don't know. Last time he made a fool of himself, the oilers gave him a 4 year contract to 33. They might give him another 4 years to get him to 37 for a token dust up.
