7 completely invisible minutes. I don't think I heard his name once in the broadcast.

Ottawa is a weird team, although the Oilers have been their kryptonite, they have 9 wins in 16 games vs Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto. Their 10th win was vs Winnipeg.

Me neither. At me point I was going to look and see if he was injured or something. Then saw him going into tunnel between periods.

That type of guys can drag a team down. Would not be acceptable on a Sutter team. Glad he is not here. And Lucic looking pretty darn good for us, that trade is the gift that keeps on giving.

It's pretty hilarious seeing all the Oilers fans up in arms about the obvious McAvi dive right before the Flames got their first powerplay. I was actually pretty shocked though the ref didn't fall for it this time seeing as how many times they do.

Have to eat crow on Sutter. I didn't think he was the guy for this team, but so far he has proven to be the tonic they needed. Still think that because they are going this route they may need to move a couple of bodies who are square pegs. This team is a couple moves from being really good.

McDavid doesn't draw a single penalty, flames get away with the hack and slash and we get penalties for 10-ply infractions. We made too many mistakes to get the win, but it doesn't help when the officials are watching a completely different game.
If I didn't watch the game and just read what these Oilers' fans are saying, I would expect a way different game. The clowns need to take off the homer glasses.

"McDavid didn't draw a single penalty"

That phrase right there epitomizes what is wrong with the organization, its fans, and the media that follows them.

Almost as bad as Perry's dive from a few days ago.

I think that McDavid is starting to get Canuckitis and its chronic. The guy dove so much that the refs are getting tired of his crap and they're slowly reducing the number of calls that he gets. It won't be long until someone will blatantly punch him in the face and the refs will shrug and go "ehhh, that's what you get when you're a gutless embellish."

If I was his coach, I'd tell him to either stay on his feet, or go find some ankle strengthening exercises, because for a fast powerful skater he goes down like a inflatable waving buddy guy with a leak.

Oiler fans really don't understand hockey at all.

On the if Kassian was there line, what would he do? jump someone from behind, throw out a dirty slew foot, throw a headshot? The Oilers seemed to be able to do that fine without him, and Kassian would never answer the bell against a guy like Richie. Especially now that Kassian is over paid and more worried about his bank account then supporting his team mates.

That is the one they are referring to. As you can see (and already know) they are completely delusional.

Pretty crazy that Smith has a .921 SV %.

That's probably at least .02 above what he'll be at the end of the year. Feels like the Oilers might be in for a nasty PDO swing here soon.

Heading into last night Connor McDavid led the NHL in penalties drawn with 16. The consistent amount of whining and crying that comes from that fanbase in regards to the "treatment" of McDavid is laughable. He gets more than his fair share of calls.

Looking forward to this team being really fully dialed on what Sutter wants. They are getting the new coach bump due to hard work but they still have work to do in order to get the team playing fully the way Sutter wants. It has been a great response since he took over though and I am hopeful the Flames will look even better tomorrow for the rematch.

Darryl got CGY to win when they don't have their 'A' game. Not a 'D' game either.

That is a good example of his unmatched skills at high speed

Put a stick in front of him and he is immediately on his way down

Remember a few years ago was it the season home opener, how he got a penalty shot call after his breakaway was deterred by the finger of a Flames defender?

Same boat. I remember seeing that hit and thinking um, charge much? Launched himself into Hanifin.

Hopefully one of them AV nerds can throw together a gif.

EDIT: I think it was around 15:00 minute mark of the 2nd.
