Did they ever play a game that good with Ward?

I can't wait until we jump the Oilers in the standings. Screw those guys.

Flames look like a different team.
The team we love.
Enjoy it, whatever the reason.
Success is too fleeting to argue over.

A game that committed from all lines and pairings? No.

This is not directly to you, but moreso the "told you so" posts

Who cares? Ward is the past.

We got a legit coach finally in Sutter. Think present and the future. This is just step 1 (or 2 including goalie) of work needed to be cup contenders.

And let's be clear, here: my responses have been directed specifically to those who appear to believe that Sutter solves all of the teams problems. I am ecstatic with the hire, and happy with the win, but will continue to regard these juniour-high-level "told you so" retorts as exceptionally premature.

So, you can spare me your sanctimonious "think before you predict" advice.

Exactly. If you’re going to call TC out for something, go for the time he said Laviolette wasn’t working! :-)

No need to get too happy after a win on HNIC. Let's Pump the brakes and delay our jubilation for a couple weeks and just enjoy the pandemic.

Sorry. You are right. The game was awesome, and the win was awesome. Sutter is a fantastic coach, and while I continue to be cautiously optimistic, this game was a welcome change from what we have seen since the beginning of February.

How is it a surprise to some people here that a Calgary Flames fan is a bit gun shy after a bit of a Flames run of success. It’s the Calgary Flames people!

A damn fine evening of hockey, thoroughly enjoyed that game from start to finish.

Looking forward to watching Sutter's Flames become the bane of the north.

Darryl is the only man in history to alter the Flames DNA since the 90s.

Great win. I disagreed with the referees and the commentator more than I yelled at the team. What a set up for the Monday & Wednesday back-to-back. Citing Lucic and many: "Buckle Up!"

He's back, and appears as motivated as ever, so why not lend a little faith based on what he's accomplished with a couple practices?

Can't argue with that..save for one good year maybe under Peters.

Just looking at the ice time stats.
Hanifin and Tanev with the most time.
Backlund, Lucic and Bennett with the most forward time.
Tkachuk right at the bottom.
Interesting.

Edit: Ignore, this isn't right for some reason

Tkachuck is still trying to fancy pants his way around the ice.

The way they are playing even if they lose ill still be happy. They are giving it 100% and thats all I ask. New coach bump or not when they play the right way it keeps the fans entertained. This still isnt a cup team on paper but we can work on that latter. This is a big step, actually showing up to play a full game.

I will be extremely annoyed and obnoxious if Kylington is a healthy scratch on Monday.

Yup - he still looks a little lost out there. I'm sure he'll figure it out - and if he doesn't he won't be playing too much until he does.
