The difference with the other coaches? They (the coaches) let the Flames off with poor work. Darryl won't do that.

(Similar analogy to people calling out posters for being negative on this core after 2 games with a new coach).

The coach was not THE problem. He was A problem that was happy rectified. This team still has problems, though.

That's suggesting Montreal beat themselves basically though. We dominated Montreal through 2 games, with both scores flattering them IMO.

They've pulled a 180. About as good a result as you can get from a coaching change so far. Just enjoy it everyone. No one knows for sure where we are headed but early returns are great. GFG!

I think this was our most impressive win of the year.

This is what real coaching does. It takes a roster and makes it better than the sum of it's parts. I strongly feel that the anti-'try an elite coach' brigade was actually posters upset that this roster wasn't giving it it's all under crappy coaches. Almost bitter in wanting them to fail rather than see them succeed under proper guidance.
Dont feel bad. Some of these people have been preaching their nonsense since GG days. Clueless and yet acting like smartest guys in the room. A wake up call for them.

Every team has problem. Why so negative?

Let's give it more than 2 games before we start telling everyone how wrong they were to call out this core.
And the teams they beat in those games, powerhouses. They beat Buffalo twice, Ottawa and the LA Kings. It was an impressive run.

OP has a point there. Not meaning to be negitive but we have to be cautious going forward. Can they maintain this level of play for the rest of the season? That's my concern going forward.

Aren't you the guy who said there was zero - ZERO - chance the Flames would fire Ward halfway through the season? Openly mocked those who wanted a coaching change and thought it might just happen?

Yah, you should think about perhaps not making any further predictions this year.

Even if we lost these two games, the team is playing completely different. Team never looked like this under Ward not even close.

Coaching has it's place in the game and the same for the players themselves. Team has gone through 5 coaches in 7 years so there is valid reason to be cautious going forward.

The above said, Sutter has made a difference and I hope it continues.

The Flames aren't cup contenders and they only won 2. But its not what they won, its how. Totally different team.
