Well, maybe coaching does make a difference? I don’t think the Flames had that dominating of a shift at any time under Ward.

Had to listen to the radio being on the road till now. But Loubo calling the Flames performance "elite".

Nice.

Where is Rick Ball, this guy seems like a Montreal homer.

Too bad they couldn't bury one when they had the Canadiens hemmed in there. Team's looking good.

Hope they can keep up the pace not just for the whole game, but the rest of the season.

That uhh.... wel that was very reminiscent of a certain shift from an 04 playoff run. Meat grinder.

Montreal getting away with a few at the end there.
Glad they were able to hold on when the Habs decided to show up for the last 30 seconds of the period.

Too early to conclude that coaching makes s difference? Amazing what clarity of purpose does for confidence, attitude and effort.

It's called talking to your players individually until you're positive each and every one of them gets the message.

Average coaches just preach to the choir and hope they get the message, but don't go above and beyond to micro-manage it up and down the bench.

I suppose it also helps having a grumpy resting face and 2 cups to your name.

Ugh, I really hope they don't keep the Canadian division again next season. I'm already so sick of playing the same damn teams over and over again. Personally I'm hoping the divisions go back to normal next year.

Seriously, the difference in this team's work ethic under Sutter is equivalent to the difference in effort from James Neal and Milan Lucic.

Most dominant two periods in this season so far. Noticed the gap control is so much better giving no room for Montreal to enter in the neutral zone. Darryl is a magician !

Hard not to wonder where we’d be if Sutter had just come in before the 5 against Ottawa.

Agreed, I thought the north division was going to be a bloodbath with playoff feelings every game. It hasn't been that at all.

Thank God this team finally invested in a coach. Sure seems to prevent wild shifts in the game having a stable presence on the bench.

Imagine where they’d be if Darryl had been hired during the off season!!

I believe Harnarayan went to Mount Royal and started off his broadcasting career at CBC Calgary.
