JG could've still had the goal because he really didn't have to make a kicking motion with such a hard pass and a wide open net, just needed a bit different placement of his feet.

No, you can "direct" the puck with your skate, but you can't use a "distinct kicking motion". It would be hard to argue that wasn't a clear kick from Gaudreau.

You can direct it in, but cannot have a distinct kicking motion. That was as obvious as it goes. And I think the skate does come off the ice a bit on the follow through.

Not good news about Dube. I thought he looked good on that rush, and you’d have thought if they feared a separated shoulder he would have been gone right away.

At least the "Brett" / "Byron" mix-up was the correct last name.
Remember the game earlier this season in Montreal where the announcer kept calling Toffoli "Michael Ryder", presumably because of the number 73?
