On Monahan's 2nd goal, Tkachuk did in fact back pass it through the legs for the assist, so there's that.

We can activate our Defense way more if they back check. Tkachuk needs to sit a few games and a heat player needs to step in .

40 minutes left fellas.

Does Money remind anyone else of Dave Andreychuk? Play style. Not appearance.

You are correct. My bad. Tkachuk did the (failed) toe drag. Also good play by Dube to create it.

Hopefully, the old adage holds true...

“More games are won in the first period than the third.“

The Flames have certainly learned that lesson, hopefully.

Or maybe the Flames are just playing really well?

Tkachuk is the main reason the 2nd goal happens

Think he was trying to go between his legs to score but hit it towards Monahan instead.

Team is playing with much more swagger with Darryl, behind the bench. The coaching move could prove to be season saving. I like what I'm seeing the past 2 games.

Just got in, 2-0 lead is excellent. I had left the tv on tuned to City tv for the frog this time.

Can't ask for much more than that from the team in an opening frame. I really hope that Kylington can play well enough to stick. He adds an interesting flavour to the team with his speed and skill from the back end.

Some notes:
-Valimaki with a perfect pass to Johnny for that breakaway. Too bad he didn't get an assist
-Bennett-Ryan-Leivo displaying some nice chemistry again
-Hope Tanev is okay after a rough collision with Petry and getting crunched later by Gallagher I think
-Markstrom looks confident. There will be breakdowns and I'm glad they've got him back there

Loving him since day one as a commentator, no nonsense, supported by lived experience and insights. Breathe of fresh air.

Someone tells him to put back Fiddler on the backdrop! Lol.

Good old HNIC, spend 5 minutes in the intermission talking about broken sticks from Thursday night games, and then some McDavid highlights.

Flames look like all those teams they were playing against a couple weeks ago.

Anybody see any “in game adjustments “?

Still haven’t figured out what those are.
