I totally read this wrong. Not sure Darryl Sutter would be a great mom.

Gaudreau just came off the ice because Montreal took a penalty with 2:30 left and he was on the PP.
Gaudreau actually played a lot in the last 5 mins

Haha I stand corrected you both may be right may not be Gaudreaus line aafter all. My other post still stands though they need to forecheck harder if they want the puck.

Keep them thinking it was all of them outside of the line that was on. Part of his plan lol
Could have been Valimaki and Nesterov if D are included

Can’t wait for Saturday but I expect a much better Canadiens team and Carey Price as well.

You just know Sutter is going to pull out all stops and remind his team who the underdog is!

Looking at this it seems like he was referring to Johnny and Monahan, but only because they had just come off some pretty lengthy shifts from the PP.
Also interesting to see Nesterov effectively benched after the Montreal goal.

I argue that Gaudreau is a very "Sutter type". The #1 thing Sutter demands is hard work. Johnny has not had a coach like Darryl before playing in a system like this before. He is a very intelligent player, and I argue it is rare to see him just 'dogging it'. I think he will fit in just fine.
Gaudreau is much more a Sutter player than James Neal is, for instance.
I am not really worried about any of the players not fitting in. Wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of players in the dog house, but I bet this team buys-in. Tonight's win helps that process along - not just the win itself, but they get to actually see how good they were playing in getting that win for a change. Most if not all are going to buy-in and stay committed, and I think Gaudreau is not one I worry about.

Just watched the end of the game...Gaudreau's line is out there dominating down low with 3 mins left...shift leads to the PP as they get the change in with Montreal tired. Then Gaudreau is right back out there on the PP for another minute.
Do some people expect him to play the final three minutes of the game? He was out there as much as any forward in the last 5 minutes.
Leivo and company hopped on for the final 30 seconds or so but they weren't on the PP so makes sense. Darryl is probably just being Darryl...doesn't want anyone to be getting fat and sassy because they won a game.

Gaudreau will pick his spots and will not be worn out from being relied on and being placed in near futile situations.
He will be more than fine

It is probably Darryl being Darryl in trying to put more squeeze on the team for the next game.
He said there was one line that he couldn't put out there at the end... I am guessing that line is Simon - Nordstrom - Robinson, since they didn't dress.

If he ever wants to match Connor the great he'll need to play the last 6 at least.

according to that chart, the 4th line didn't finish the game, so not sure what to make of it
