We were talking brothers. You are talking family - in particular second generations. In which case wait for the Tkachuks.

Thought Doc was the best Flame tonight. Got a couple of points, generated a few o-zone turnovers, was +50% in the face off circle, strong in his own end and was key on that last penalty kill with 6 minutes left.

This this this.

They started their sulking routine after the goal but then they snapped out of it and went back to work. His timely work on the bench there changed everything.

Game Takes: Flames 2 Habs 1

- Sutter is 1-0-0 on the season
- Flames only give up 18 shots on goal
- Fourth line carries the way with new balance
- Josh Leivo with his 2nd and 3rd on the season

Lucic was great. Worked very hard, physical, fought. Awesome game from him. Bennett and the 4th line was awesome too.

Was that when Lucic was in the box for 5? That changed up the lines a bit.

People are actually fighting Lucic lately with predictable results

I think it was, plus a little bit with the special teams on both sides late in the game

The balanced time on ice between all players was nice to see. The only thing that made a difference was PP and PK minutes otherwise all were about even.

Most entertaining game of the year and hope they keep it up.

Pretty hard to argue with a coach that has better stats than you
Darryl had three 20 goal seasons, a 30 goal season and a 40 goal season. Shame he ran into injuries, was a solid player.

The whole family is ridiculous all-around mind you:

Brian - 7x 20 goal scorer with a 30+ and two 40+ seasons.
Brent - 12x 20 goal scorer with two 30+ and a 40+ season.
Duane - 1x 20 goal scorer, always in the 15-20 range though.
Rich - 1x 20 goal scorer, again always in the 15-20 range.
Ron - 2x 20 goal scorer, also always in the 15-20 range in his prime.

Which line do you think Sutter was referring to when he said rather than wanting to play the 4th so much, he just couldn't play a different line (or something along those lines).

I thought it was Hanifin, and honestly I could probably say Hanifin has been the best Flames over the past few games.

His stability is really starting to crawl into the lime light now that he has the green light to pinch. Dudes kind of been a beast in the stealthiest way.

Think he was just grinding at the media. He seems to love to challenge their assumptions or pick on their questions when they're not clear.
